Ceramic and Porcelain Floor Cleaning
These two tiles are man made tiles (ie made of plastics) and are non porous so they just need deep cleaning and not sealing. In fact most sealants don’t key to these floors very well.
Ceramic tiles in my option are great tiles they won’t mark, you pretty much use any strength of chemical on them and restore them to where they look like new.
Porcelain tiles however……..well you can google Porcelain tile cleaning and see blog pages of homeowners struggling to maintain these tiles.
Becoming increasingly popular because of the soft look and design capabilities, to a point they just don’t seem fit for purpose. They tend to mark easy and tend not to respond well to the usual weekly Maintenace ie Mopping and Steaming.
But our deep cleaning methods will make a considerable difference and restore the floor, they do sell a sealer for porcelain tiles, but in my experience it doesn’t really solve the issue above. Basically the floors need deep cleaning once or twice a year.

Our Service:
We have found over the years when cleaning ceramic tiles using a really abrasive pad works best either a black nylon stripping pad or diamond pad attached to a rotary scrubber. This tends to cut away at the soil on the top surface of the ceramic tile in most cases restoring it to a near new condition.
We then rinse the tiles using the Truck Mounted cleaning system with a Turbo Hybrid interior pressure washer tool. This sucks away what we call the slurry which is made up of soil and chemical. Further detailing is performed on the grout lines by hand and nylon brushes, then the tiles are left to dry overnight.
Next day we return to seal and or polish the floor depending on your requirements this process can take anywhere around the 3 hour mark depending on the porousness of the tiles and the size of the floor in question
Ceramic tiles only need to be professionally deep cleaned periodically. They do not need sealing. A professional ceramic floor cleaner should be trained in the various floor cleaners to achieve the best result without affecting the tile.
