Ceramic tiles are tiles which are made from ceramic materials like earthenware and porcelain. Tiles are simply flat slabs of man made material which can be used in a range of applications, including flooring, counter-tops, roofing, walls, and showers.
Many people like to use ceramic tiles to make flooring. There are a number of advantages to tile flooring. It tends to be extremely durable, and heating and cooling systems can be installed underneath it to radiate through the floor.
Many people also find tile flooring aesthetically pleasing, and it is easy to clean, especially in situations where drains are installed in the flooring, allowing people to essentially hose it down.
We have found over the years when cleaning ceramic tiles using a really abrasive pad works best either a black nylon stripping pad or diamond pad attached to a rotary scrubber. This tends to cut away at the soil on the top surface of the ceramic tile in most cases restoring it to a near new condition.
We then rinse the tiles using the Truck Mounted cleaning system with a Turbo Hybrid interior pressure washer tool. This sucks away what we call the slurry which is made up of soil and chemical. Further detailing is performed on the grout lines by hand and nylon brushes, then the tiles are left to dry overnight.
Next day we return to seal and or polish the floor depending on your requirements this process can take anywhere around the 3 hour mark depending on the porousness of the tiles and the size of the floor in question
Ceramic tiles only need to be professionally deep cleaned periodically. They do not need sealing. A professional ceramic floor cleaner should be trained in the various floor cleaners to achieve the best result without affecting the tile
